Best retailer of wine & beer suitable for vegetarians

Which retailer has staff who know their isinglass from their gelatine? Do they clearly label vegetarian wines and beers? Perhaps they provide a list of products that are suitable for vegetarians? Where do you go for a good selection of quality wines and beers that you can be confident are vegetarian? It could be a small independent retailer or a nationwide supermarket.

Imperfect World

Last year Walkers Cheese & Onion Crisps won the honour of being the product that vegetarians would most like to buy IF it was vegetarian! As a result of winning, Walkers have redeveloped their recipe and are now using vegetarian cheese making veggies everywhere very happy! We hope to repeat the success this year so let us know the product that you would love to enjoy if the setting agent wasn’t gelatine, the cheese didn’t contain calf rennet or the colouring wasn’t made from crushed insects!

Best British destination for vegetarians

This category is a little bit different – we’re inviting nominations from the general public for the place (country village, seaside resort, town or city) that offers an exceptional selection of vegetarian friendly accommodation, eateries, shops and services. The destinations which receive the most nominations will be short-listed and we will send a questionnaire to the relevant tourist board/council/agency. We will then decide the overall best British veggie destination!
