The Vegetarian Society
is pleased to announce the shortlist of nominees for the Best Farmers’ Market for Vegetarians Award. The award
was created to applaud farmers’ markets across the UK and the
nominations are as follows:
Cardiff - Riverside Market on Fitzhamon Embankment
Stoke Newington – William Patten School, Stoke Newington
Church Street
Teesdale - Market Place, Barnard Castle
Brighton & Hove – Ralli Hall
Usk – The Memorial Hall
Markets will now be visited to assess a variety of criteria including:
if they have fantastic, fresh produce?
whether there is a wide variety of veggie products on sale that
have been grown, brewed, pickled, baked, smoked or processed
locally?
if the stall holders are helpful and aware of what is suitable
for vegetarians.
