Saints and Sinners Festive Menu
A Christmas calorie-counting angel? Or a throw-out-the-weighing-scales
naughty elf? Which one are you when it comes to the festive dinner table?
Luckily
The Vegetarian Society has the answer with its ‘Saints
and Sinners’ range of recipes for Christmas 2006. Half the recipes
are perfect for those ‘Sinners’ who, just for Christmas,
fancy a more indulgent menu. There’s dishes like Brazen Brie
Soup, Temptation Tart and even Orgasmic Orange Pudding!
And for those who still want a delicious but low-fat, health-conscious
choice, there is our ‘Saints’ section full of clever alternatives
to a typically calorie-laden festive affair. The menu is equally tempting
but totals only 1,000 calories! Dishes include Courgette Christmas Candles,
Angelic Lemony Leeks’n’Sprouts and Pious Pannacotta.
All the recipes are ideal for veggies and non-veggies alike with some
recipes specially devised for those avoiding gluten and nuts. There are
several vegan alternatives too – so everyone is catered for!
