Helping us via the media
The Society is often asked to provide vegetarians
for interviews with journalists, or to appear on radio and tv shows,
for example as part of the audience in a debate, or, as a participant
in a
cookery show or to be interviewed as a family. This provides very valuable
free publicity for the vegetarian lifestyle. We will post such requests
on this page but we rarely get very much notice so if you are interested,
you will need to check this page fairly frequently!
TIME FOR A COOK OFF?
Do you regularly argue with your
partner about whose soufflé is
fluffier? Have you fallen out with your best friend over a flan? Does
your mother frequently criticise your pastry?
Then Cactus TV needs you.
We’re looking for partners or close
friends / relations who are fiercely competitive in the kitchen. We’ll
give you the chance to settle who’s the best cook once and for
all!
To find out more email your name, contact telephone number and a short
description about the two people taking part to:

Are you planning to move to an exotic location outside Europe to set
up an exciting vegetarian project or business? We’re looking for
inspirational stories of adventurous people who have followed their dreams.
Perhaps you have already moved and would like to tell us about the experience
so far? If so we would love to hear from you, please contact Jenny.crowther@studiolambert.com

Britain's Best Dish
Hello, my name is Mel and I work for ITV. I’m looking for amateur
cooks for our programme Britain’s Best Dish and thought that you
may know some people who may be interested in taking part. We are making
a new series of the programme and are looking for people interested in
cookery.
‘Britain’s Best Dish’ is a contest to find Britain’s
very own best starter, main course and dessert. We are looking for ordinary
people (i.e. people who aren’t head chefs with years of experience
behind them) to cook their signature dishes and enter them into the mix.
The overall winner receives the ultimate accolade of ‘Britain’s
Best Dish’ and receives a £10,000 cash prize.
Many Thanks
Melanie Brown
