The Vegetarian Friendship Circular

Snail mail Snail mail is for people who like to correspond the old-fashioned way, with pen and paper! The Vegetarian Friendship Circular is our non-profit-making, snail mail, penfriend list that has been running for many years now. We accept entries for pen-friends, holiday travelling companions, exchange holidays and "au pairs" but not for romantic or sexual liaisons (see the Classified Advertising Directory for introduction agencies). We reserve the right not to include any entries that we feel are not compatible with the aims of the list. There's no charge for an entry on this list but you do need to be 17 or over and a vegetarian, a vegan, or in the process of changing your diet to vegetarian/vegan. Just send in brief details of name, address, age, how long vegetarian, interests and hobbies. You can do this by letter to the address below, or fill in the online form (see the link below). Your entry will appear for about two years and then be automatically deleted. However, if you wish it to continue for longer, just write in again and we will renew it from the date of your most recent letter for another two year period. The paper penfriend circulars get updated at the beginning of every month - so you may have to wait before the letters start to arrive. We are not able to send free copies of the paper list to overseas addresses but we will send you a few sample entries. To obtain a copy of the snail mail circular on paper, please send a stamped, addressed envelope (if you live in the UK) or 2 international reply coupons (if you live outside the UK) to the address at the bottom of this page. It is up to you whether you want to make the first contact or wait for someone to contact you. But if everyone waits not much will happen..... try making the first move! If you have requested a copy of the email list, it will usually arrive within five working days (except during British public holidays like Christmas, Easter etc).
