Green Salad
 

SUMMER SIZZLERS

Mixed Nut Wheels
serves 4


Ingredients

2oz / 50g muesli base or unsweetened muesli with the fruit removed
6oz / 175g mixed nuts, such as brazils, hazels, walnuts, finely ground
1 slice wholemeal bread, ground
1 medium onion, grated
1tsp olive oil
2tsp dried oregano or 2tbsps of fresh
1tsp of dried basil or 1tbsp of fresh
2tbsp soya sauce
salt and freshly ground black pepper

 

Method

1 Mix all ingredients in bowl and leave to stand for 10 minutes.

2 Shape into rounds, make sure they will fit in bread rolls.
Baste with olive oil during cooking and serve in bread rolls with onion rings and Capsicum and Peanut Salsa

Tips:
Almonds and cashews are too delicate in flavour for this dish.
Vary the herbs to suit availability.
A little extra water may be needed to help binding of the mixture as the absorbency of the bread and muesli will vary.
