The Vegetarian Society is an educational charity operating across the UK, but we only have a small number of paid staff: to really make a difference we rely on people like you.
Every vegetarian can help spread the word about the benefits of a meat-free lifestyle.
Our local network of vegetarian groups and information centres takes the vegetarian message into communities throughout the UK, sometimes by campaigning but also by simply getting together to exchange ideas and share great veggie food.
Our speaker service brings unbiased information about vegetarian lifestyle to the heart of the community.
Volunteering your time and skills can make a real difference to our charitable work, supporting and representing vegetarians while also helping others to understand the positive benefits of a veggie lifestyle for animals, the environment and our own wellbeing.
Every year we run National Vegetarian Week. This awareness raising campaign is such a success because everyone from schools to businesses to individuals can join in to celebrate the week. We also run a range of awards to reward the best and most inspiring amongst the vegetarian community.
Joining the Vegetarian Society is one of the best ways to become a more active vegetarian and signing up or logging in to our online community will give you access to forums, networks and other ways to get involved.
