This list is ultimately the responsibilty of Council on behalf of the members, regardless of whether any council members are actually on the list at any one time. Day to day responsibilty rests with HQ staff who have the right to terminate the membership of anyone on this list should it be considered necessary to do so. The list is 'owned' by Geraint 'Gedge' Edwards - gedge@veg.org - as it's running on his machine. Gedge naturally has the right to discontinue the service at his discretion should it be necessary for any reason. Members Membership of this list is restricted to full or associate members of VSUK. A valid membership number is required for subscription and list membership will be terminated if VSUK membership is not renewed. How to proceedTo subscribe, send an email to the admin address (vegsoc-talk-request@veg.org) with the following message: subscribe vegsoc-talk full-name vegsoc-membership-number To post: send mail to the list and it will be forwarded to everyone else on the list. Replies are set to the list. If you want to reply to the original poster you will need to change the address, and cc as appropriate. In order to keep traffic down please consider whether your reply (or an originating mail) is of interest to everyone on the list, or just one or two people. Troubleshooting If you find your messages are being rejected, please try the following before getting in touch with us: 1. Check that you are sending your message from the email address which is actually subscribed. 2. Check that your message is in "plain text" format. It shouldn't contain any html or attachments. 3. Check that your message isn't too long - ie that you are not just hitting the reply button and forwarding a long screed of previously posted messages with your reply. If in doubt, try sending your reply in a new message. |
