ENJOY VEGETARIAN FOOD
DURING NATIONAL VEGETARIAN WEEK..
JUNE 14th-20th 1999

PRESS RELEASE
13 April 1999

Prepare for the tastiest, healthiest, hottest National Vegetarian Week ever - a week of events, promotions and campaigns. This year, The Vegetarian Society will be celebrating the most delicious diet on earth by promoting and hosting mega-veggie barbecues. The week will defeat the myth, that when it comes to 'al fresco' eating, vegetarians are missing out. The Society is encouraging the UK to dust off the grill, break open the charcoal, strike a match and get cooking!

The Society has teamed up with Gardening Which? to highlight the ultimate in green cuisine and produce a 'Flaming Hot Veg BBQs' packs, complete with exciting veg barbecue recipes, top tips to hosting a barbecue, along with information on vegetarianism and growing you own. The Veg BBQ packs are available FREE, from The Vegetarian Society, by sending a S.A.E, with two first class stamps to: The Vegetarian Society, Parkdale, Dunham Road, Altrincham, Cheshire, WA14 4QG.

"Nothing could be fresher or healthier than cooking home grown veg, straight from the garden. We hope everyone will be creating sizzling, delicious veggie barbecues in National Vegetarian Week" said Chris Dessent, Head of Public Affairs for The Vegetarian Society.
