SCHOOLS
Video – vegetarian nutrition, a video designed to fit in with the national curriculum in secondary schools. Teachers can buy this for £6 or borrow it from our video library. If local contacts want to buy a copy to take to show in schools, the price is just £5. Catering packs – we have catering packs for primary and secondary schools (free to schools), and, just out, our new pack for nurseries. (Parents and child minders should also find this useful). The nursery pack costs £1. Try to persuade your local schools to put on some special veggie meals during the Week. Starter packs: we have two new starter packs for young people, one for 11-16s and one for 16-19s. They are not really suitable for handing out in bulk as they consist of a folder with several loose sheets but you can certainly have a few for any interested young people and, if writing to the press etc, you can always encourage them to contact us for a copy. (free but donations appreciated) Posters – still available are the posters on nutritional comparisons, the food pyramid, and the general "Manga Man" youth poster. (free) Teachers Activity Pack – this contains some lesson plans based on a veggie theme. It was really popular last year. Alex will be revamping it for this year. (free) Publicity Pack – Schools can order their own publicity pack for National Vegetarian Week, which is free (although a donation would be appreciated). This is listed on the Publicity Pack Request Forms you've already received but let me know if you need some extras.
