This colourful pack, produced in time for National Vegetarian Week 2001, includes: eating well the veggie way, useful organisations, getting your facts straight, talking to parents, frequently asked questions, how to set up your own group, nice and easy veggie recipes, well fancy that and doing more, the campaign trail.

'Whether you are a new veggie or an old hand, this pack will have something for you. We hope it will help teenagers be healthy and happy veggies.' says Alex Connell Youth Education Officer at The Vegetarian Society.

'Going Veggie' has been made possible through the kind and continued support of The Cyril Corden Trust and The Vegetarian Charity.

In addition to the 'Going Veggie - Food for Life' pack The Vegetarian Society has a lively youth education programme. Services include project packs, leaflets, posters and a video lending library. Young veggies can support vegetarianism by joining The Vegetarian Society and getting involved. Call 0161 925 2000 to find out more.

This year National Vegetarian Week (our ninth!) will focus on health issues showing everyone how eating veggie can be a healthy way of life. National Vegetarian Week is organised and co-ordinated by The Vegetarian Society, a registered charity.

The Vegetarian Society is the oldest vegetarian organisation in the world. It offers an independent voice able to promote and provide information on vegetarianism.
