May 31st: The Hare Krishna Temple will be hosting a special Vegetarian Garden Fair for everyone on the Bank Holiday 11am-4pm. Everyone is very welcome to attend. There will be an array of mouth-watering food and drink to taste and buy as well as cookery demonstrations, free tasters, workshops, talks, and tours. Exotic Indian and Chinese dishes, a salad bar and noodle bar, organic juices and even pizza and chips… All vegetarian, of course, and promises to be the tastiest day of the year! There is also a gourmet corner and demonstrations of how to prepare sumptuous dishes for all your family and friends. All of our cooks have at least 15 years cooking experience and will be pleased to answer any questions about preparing vegetarian meals at home.
Whilst relaxing in the Manor’s gardens, guests will be able to sit back, eat and be entertained by the Nitai Dance company, a fusion of Bharata Natyam (South Indian dance), Kathak (North Indian dance) and contemporary dance. This story telling ability of Indian classical dance compliments the free expressive nature of contemporary dance.
There will also be a wide variety of exciting workshops and fun activities, including: Ayurveda Workshop, Mantra Meditation Workshops, Hatha Yoga Workshops, Mehndi, traditional decorative hand painting and Sari Wearing for the ladies, Guided tours of the Manor and its beautiful estate, Ox cart rides, Traditional Face Painting for children. All activities subject to weather. Admission free, children welcome.
If you can't make this event, there are going to be Health and Wellbeing fairs at the Manor on 19 June and 14 August and a Cultural fair on 17 July.
