Things to do for National Vegetarian Week

Individuals and families are welcome to get involved in National Vegetarian Week as well as groups, organisations and businesses. Here are a few suggestions you might like to consider:

• Write a letter – to your local paper, parish magazine, school magazine – anywhere that might be interested and tell them that National Vegetarian Week is happening.

• Order a copy of our new leaflet Food for Thought for a friend who is thinking about going veggie.

• Talk to your friends about National Vegetarian Week, carry a few of the NVW fliers* and recipe booklets* around in case any express an interest in obtaining more information.

• Encourage your veggie friends to join The Vegetarian Society and support our work.

• Put a poster* up in your front window.

• Put a poster* up at work/school/college/church.

• Invite a non-vegetarian friend or two round to your home for a meal.

• Talk to your local cafe/restaurant/pub and ask them to put on a special veggie meal for the Week.

• Encourage local business to take a look at our NVW Business Opportunities.

• Take some veggie food into work to share with your colleagues.
