Ideas for Schools

The Vegetarian Society’s National Vegetarian Week is a great opportunity to promote healthy eating in schools. School dinners and nutrition for young people are hot topics, and what better way to explore them than with a range of free materials and resources for projects across the curriculum?

Vegetarian food is typically low in saturated fats, high in fibre and complex carbohydrates, and high in minerals and vitamins. Learning about a vegetarian diet, full of fresh fruit and vegetables, is a great way to get young people on the road to a healthy interest in what they eat.
