Students at Bexhill
High Senior School and King Offa Primary School joined
in the fun at the school restaurant in partnership with
school caterer Scolarest.
King Offa pupils were
invited to draw their favourite vegetables and the favourite
choices were carrots and sweetcorn. If students had vegetables
with their meal they received a sticker which was kindly
donated by the Vegetarian Society.
Both schools were able
to see different information about healthy eating in the
form of posters and booklets. There were also displays of
different types of vegetables for the pupils to look at,
touch and smell. These included whole carrots with their
tops on, courgettes, peppers, corn on the cob, marrow,
broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and tomatoes.
The High School students
were offered a raffle ticket when they purchased a hot
vegetarian meal. At the end of the week, a winner was picked
and that student won a £5.00 voucher to spend in
the high street.
