A special event is being planned to involve local school children in identifying
locally grown vegetables and motivating them in creating simple seasonal
non meat/fish dishes
May 21: 7.30pm. Food. This is a very exciting event for NVW in Falmouth.
A totally vegetarian, collaborative dinner given by the Raymond
Blanc trained chef Prosenjit Kumar (head chef of the Greenbank) and
the Cordon Vert trained Nicola Willis (proprietor / chef of the popular
Pea Souk cafe). The menu celebrates the best of the spring produce and
highlights some excellent local growers of vegetables and suppliers of
vegetarian products in Cornwall. It is a 4 course meal which centre's
around Asparagus, Fennel, Spinach, Broad beans, Cornish earlies and Rhubarb.
The full menu is available on the Greenbank hotel website. Anyone with
a relatively simple special diet/intolerance will be catered for ( vegan,
wheat/gluten or diabetic). The Greenbank hotel boasts the most spectacular
view of Falmouth Bay and this combined with the fantastic food promises
to be an evening to be remembered. Bookings are being taken now and are
