National Vegetarian Week - How it all started

National Vegetarian Week is an annual celebration of all things veggie. Organised and co-ordinated by The Vegetarian Society since 1992 the aim of the week is to promote the benefits of adopting a vegetarian lifestyle through the media, events, and the participation of businesses such as cafes, shops, food manufacturers and caterers. In addition, the week attracts celebrity support as well as the involvement of thousands of people across the UK.
