Nut roast or not nut roast?

Having just conducted a poll on the worst offerings that veggies have come to expect on Christmas menus, the overall winner was..wait for it...yes, pasta with tomato sauce. This dish really did fail to impress, but there was also much debate over the merits of the good old nut roast.
