Banger bonanza bestows best banger badge!

The Vegetarian Society is pleased to announce that Manchester has decided on its favourite meat-free sausage. The winner was decided after intense sampling and tasting at the Banger Bonanza tent at Meat Free in Manchester on 19 May. Thousands of samples of veggie sausage were tasted and the winning brand was, in fact, Linda McCartney Foods.

Vanessa Brown, Head of Corporate Relations at the Vegetarian Society said, “The tasting went down a storm, there were veggies and non veggies digging in – people seemed to be genuinely surprised at the variety of meat free sausages available.”

Meat Free in Manchester launched National Vegetarian Week which is now in its twentieth year. The sausages involved in the tasting were all kindly supplied by Vegetarian Society Approved clients, find out more at www.vegsocapproved.com
