Volunteer
The Vegetarian Society is a national charity based in Altrincham, Greater Manchester. We have a small, professional staff team but also work with volunteers in many different ways.
Our Local Network of vegetarian groups around the UK give you the chance to join like-minded people and make a difference in your own local community.
- Volunteer Speakers give talks and cookery demonstrations in schools, community groups and all sorts of other places around the UK.
- Local Press Representatives and Case Study Volunteers help spread the word about vegetarianism across the traditional and electronic media.
- Trustees are elected from the membership each year to form the Vegetarian Society Council, which is our ruling body.
Volunteers needed for V-delicious
The Vegetarian Society is attending V-delicious at Olympia, London from Thursday 6 - Sunday 9 June and we're looking for volunteers to help us at the event.
V-delicious is a consumer show highlighting veggie food through shopping and products, cookery demos and more. There's a mixture of stallholders, including Vegusto, Miss Cupcake, Peppersmith, Suma, Tesco and more.
We're looking for volunteers for any day of the show, Thursday to Sunday. We'd need volunteers to be able to lift and move boxes and other items and have a good understanding of vegetarianism.
So, if you're free, enthusiastic and interested in helping to represent the Vegetarian Society, please email graham@vegsoc.org. Reasonable travel and food expenses will be reimbursed.
The Vegetarian Society values diversity and welcomes volunteer applications from all sections of the community. Enquiries can be made by post, telephone, email or, if you have a visual impairment, audio recording. Volunteers are not paid but we are usually able to refund travel expenses.
Vegetarian Society job vacancies are advertised on the jobs page.
