Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without …..festive favourites for vegetarians. This year’s menu is ideal to share with family and friends – it’s traditional, tasty and turkey free. These dishes give a nod to seventies cuisine but bring the classic nut roast and all the trimmings right up to date. It’s ideal food to share when getting family and friends together for that big traditional feast. For a lovely Christmas Eve party drink, try a frosted fizz cocktail and pass round a few nibbles and homemade sweets – chocolate truffle snowballs and spanish turron.

For the big day, kick off the meal with a rejuvenated fruit cocktail – the passionate citrus cup. For the main meal itself tuck into sweet rosemary roasties, herby creamed carrots, speedy sprouts with wild mushrooms and a ‘not just a nut roast’. For those extra touches, there’s a quick apple and cranberry sauce with a bite and fiery red wine gravy.

Dessert is a lighter Christmas pud, using exotic fruits, and is served with boozy white sauce or spicy rum custard.
