The Vegetarian Society of the United Kingdom is the oldest vegetarian organisation in the world. It is an educational charity promoting understanding and respect for vegetarian lifestyles. National Vegetarian Week 21 – 27 May 2007 is the UK’s annual celebration of all things veggie. The week is organised and co-ordinated by The Vegetarian Society and for 2007 the Society is focusing on the ways vegetarianism can help reduce your environmental impact.
