The Vegetarian Society has launched the search to find the Best Vegetarian Beauty Product. Which favourite products aren’t tested on animals and don’t contain animal by-products? Designed to make you feel better, fresher or even just cleaner – let us know which product scrubs up for a nomination. Voting for The Vegetarian Society Awards 2008 is now open at www.vegsoc.org/awards

The Vegetarian Society’s Awards promote best practice among caterers, manufacturers and retailers, and highlight the importance of integrity in the vegetarian market place. Categories for 2008 are: Best independent pub or restaurant for vegetarian food; Best vegetarian ready-made dessert and Best veggie-friendly TV chef.

Nominations can be made until 30 June 2008 and the winners will be announced in October.

National Vegetarian Week 19-25 May 2008 is sponsored by Cauldron Foods.
