Best Vegetarian Beauty Product

Winner announced

Back in April the Vegetarian Society launched the search to find the Best Vegetarian Beauty Product. The quest was on to find our favourite products not tested on animals or containing animal by-products: a product designed to make you feel better, fresher or even just cleaner – and the winner is Halo Light Moisturising Cream.

Halo was founded in 2007, by Soni Zuberi Shah, after her own search for affordable, natural, unperfumed, paraben-free, skincare products revealed that there was very little choice in the UK market

Other products shortlisted were Lush: Hand and Body Dream Cream, Saaf: Organic Ultimate Moisture Face Serum.

The Vegetarian Society’s Awards promote best practice among caterers, manufacturers and retailers, and highlight the importance of integrity in the vegetarian market place. Categories for 2008 are: Best independent pub or restaurant for vegetarian food; Best vegetarian ready-made dessert and Best veggie-friendly TV chef. Presentations to the winners are scheduled for November.
