| October 2008 Grassington's and the Vegetarian Society - for a merry, meat-free Xmas 2008.
Grassington's is the official sponsor of the Vegetarian Society Christmas Campaign 2008. This annual campaign sets out to inspire and support individuals and caterers wishing to enjoy meat-free festivities. This year, two brand new menus have been created – Novice and Nouvelle. Each has a starter, main and dessert. The Novice meal is aimed at first time veggies or individuals who want tasty food but don't want to spend too much time in the kitchen. And for those cooks who like to be challenged there is the Nouvelle menu – created by the Cordon Vert cookery school. Grassington's Gardein Turkey Style Fillet features in the Novice main course – Festive fillet with orange and pomegranate sauce. Caroline Chisholm, Head of Communications said, "We are really delighted to have Grassington's as our official sponsor for Christmas 2008. The arrival of Grassington's Gardein products into the marketplace will be welcomed by vegetarians and vegans alike. The fillet really works alongside the orange and pomegranate sauce and it would make a fantastic dish for anyone's Christmas dinner table." The recipes will be the focus of a publicity drive to media across the UK and the six delicious recipes will be made into recipe cards available to the public free of charge. In 2007 the Christmas campaign distributed 6,000 recipe booklets following coverage in the media.
