Dan Dairies add American Style soft cheese to their ‘Vegetarian Society Approved’ range

 

The Vegetarian Society is pleased to announce that veggies can now enjoy a new American Style soft cheese from Dan Dairies.

The Society also approves Dan Dairies’ healthy eating low fat, medium and full fat varieties and expects the American Style soft cheese to achieve similar popularity in the food industry.

The Vegetarian Society’s Corporate Relations Manager, Vanessa Brown, said:
“ As suppliers to ready meal manufacturers, the food service industry, sandwich producers, bakeries and wholesalers, Dan Dairies’ consideration of the needs of vegetarians benefits a whole range of consumers.”

In addition to Vegetarian Society approval, Dan Dairies have EFSIS Higher Level, BSI ISO 14001.

The Vegetarian Society’s ‘seedling symbol‘ is the most widely recognised and trusted stamp of vegetarian approval anywhere in the world.
• Products must be free from all meat, poultry, fish, shellfish and crustacea.
• Products must not contain slaughter by-products such as gelatine or animal fat.
• Any eggs used in the product must be free-range.
• The Society also requires that cross contamination does not occur between vegetarian and non-vegetarian products during food production.
