Caterers get free publicity during
National Vegetarian Week 8 ~ 14 July 2002

March 28

The Vegetarian Society would like to offer caterers across the UK publicity and support  for any events they are planning for National Vegetarian Week 2002.  The theme of the week is world flavours so  it's a great time to hold global gourmet taste events, revamp your menu, put on a healthy eating display or challenge your staff to go veggie. You can let The Vegetarian Society know what you are up to by filling in the National Vegetarian Week Diary form, online at  www.vegsoc.org/nvw or by calling  0161 925 2000 to get a form.

The Vegetarian Society web site receives over 80,000 hits a week. During National Vegetarian Week 2002 the press and the public will be visiting the site to find out what's going on in their area so make sure you are included. Its free to register so visit www.vegsoc.org

You can also order your Caterers Publicity Pack which  includes great posters featuring gourmet food photography, a full colour professional Caterers Booklet  and literature to support the week - perfect for displays. National Vegetarian Week 2002 - A Whole World of Taste - runs  from the 8th ~ 14th July. It's the ideal time to  focus on all things veggie.

As part of the week's activities The Vegetarian Society will be hosting the 35th, World Vegetarian Congress, Food for all our Futures, in Edinburgh.

National Vegetarian Week remains the single most successful way for The Vegetarian Society, a registered educational charity, to raise its public profile and promote the vegetarian diet.  The week aims to let everyone know how easy and tasty a veggie diet can be. Supermarkets, health food stores, bookstores, schools, fitness centres and  caterers across the country will be joining in a Whole World of Taste.

Ends.
