for National Vegetarian Week 2002, 8-14 July

The Vegetarian Society is delighted to announce Sainsbury’s as the Official Supermarket Sponsor of National Vegetarian Week 2002. During National Vegetarian Week 2002 Sainsbury’s will be encouraging its customers to discover great veggie ingredients and explore the very best of international flavours. Sainsbury’s will be supporting the week by producing delicious recipe ideas, focussing on fresh produce and showing the adaptability, depth and range of modern meat free meals. To coincide with National Vegetarian Week Sainsbury’s are launching its new ‘Way To Five’ range to encourage its customers to try and eat more fruit and vegetables. Sainsbury’s have also produced a recipe card featuring Asparagus and Bean Strangozzi with Peanut Sauce. This delicious main course vegan dish is made with strangozzi pasta, asparagus and green beans in a peanut sauce with garlic, ginger, chilli, spring onions, sesame oil and peanut butter.
