Tuck into a world of taste with Dalepak's new Vegetable Escalopes

The Vegetarian Society is pleased to approve an exciting new range of frozen-food products from Dalepak.

Bite into the crispy coating of Dalepak's new Vegetable Escalopes and experience the delicious combination of crunchy vegetables in a rich, mouth-watering sauce. Developed with consumer choice in mind the Escalopes are available in three 'world' flavours - Indian, Italian and Chinese:

- Indian Style Vegetable Escalopes: packed with mild curried vegetables, covered with creamy korma sauce and topped with a crispy parsley crumb.
- Italian Style Vegetable Escalopes: a colourful mix of vegetables in a tomato and herb sauce, in a crisp sun-dried tomato crumb coating.
- Chinese Style Vegetable Escalopes: oriental vegetables and white rice in a delicious sweet and sour sauce and coated in crisp breadcrumbs.

These innovative new products are available from Sainsbury's in 320g packs of two and retail at £1.79. For more product information please contact Julia Bradshaw at Dalepak Foods plc, Dale House, Leeming Bar, North Allerton, North Yorkshire, DL7 9UL, tel: 01677 424111, or visit www.dalepak.co.uk

The strength of the Vegetarian Society seedling symbol is based on products meeting the following criteria:
· Products must be free from all meat, poultry, fish, shellfish and crustacea.
· Products must not contain slaughter by-products such as gelatine or animal fat.
· Any eggs used in the product must be free-range.
· Approval will only be granted to products or ingredients not tested on animals since 1986.
· Approval will not be given to genetically modified ingredients as these are likely to have been tested on animals.

The Society also requires that cross contamination does not occur between vegetarian and non-vegetarian products during food production. No other symbol gives consumers such reassurance and inspires the trust that comes from the Vegetarian Society approved symbol.

The Vegetarian Society is the oldest vegetarian organisation in the world. It offers an independent voice to promote and provide information on vegetarianism.

National Vegetarian Week 2003 'Satisfaction' takes place from 19-25 May.
