Veggies on Snow

The Vegetarian Society is delighted to welcome Snow Chalet to The Food & Drink Guild, membership of which is only available to caterers who demonstrate a clear understanding of the requirements of a vegetarian lifestyle and have had their menus, recipes, ingredients and procedures approved by The Society.

Snow Chalet, a luxury, fully catered, 18th century French ski chalet, so chic it recently featured in an eight page article in Elle Magazine, has become the world’s first ski chalet to be approved by The Vegetarian Society.

Paul Wilcox, one of the hosts - and a vegetarian for 18 years - says, “I’ve been on many ski holidays where vegetarian cuisine was promised as a speciality, only to find that on a couple of nights my dinner consisted of the side dishes given to the meat eating guests. Other vegetarians have had similar or worse experiences and we believe this accreditation is a clear sign that Snow Chalet is different.”

Snow Chalet caters for all dietary requirements and was completely renovated in 2000 but retains traditional alpine architectural features, including hardwood floors, beamed ceilings and open fires.

Set over four levels, the sumptuous 500m², south facing chalet has extensive balconies with fantastic mountain views, a bar and games room with billiards, table tennis and table football, five beautifully appointed spacious bedrooms, Jacuzzi baths and large yet cosy lounge and dining rooms.

For more information about Snow Chalet visit www.snowchalet.com or contact the hosts on +44 (0)7760 264261.

Members of the Food and Drink Guild Scheme are able to use the Society’s approved logo (the seedling symbol).
