NATIONAL VEGETARIAN WEEK
19-25 May 2003
New recipe booklet,
Seven Days of Satisfaction
available free to all!

To accompany this year's National Vegetarian Week, 19-25 May, the Vegetarian Society has produced a brand new recipe booklet 'Seven Days of Satisfaction'.

The booklet features seven simple but satisfying recipes that the whole family will enjoy. The aim of this year's National Vegetarian Week is to show that eating veggie food can suit all budgets, tastes and cooking habits. The Society also hopes to inspire nationwide culinary creativity by challenging individuals, eateries, magazines and newspapers to re-invent the basic recipes in their own special way. To help, the Society has included a few of its own suggestions.

The seven basic recipes are:

French Bread Pizza
Fresh Carrot and Parsley Soup
Mixed Mushroom Casserole
Perfect Pasta with Bolognaise Sauce
Red Onion and Cheddar Quiche
Sizzling Stir Fry
Spring Vegetable and New Potato Bake

'Seven Days of Satisfaction' will be available free from the beginning of April. Write to the Vegetarian Society, Parkdale, Dunham Road, Altrincham, Cheshire, WA14 4QG, or phone on 0161 925 2000.

National Vegetarian Week 2003 is organised by the Vegetarian Society in partnership with the Mushroom Bureau and Suma. Mushroom versions of the 'Satisfaction' recipes and photos, are available from the Mushroom Bureau - please visit their web-site www.mushroom-uk.com
