Mooncup

Women friendly, environment friendly, vegetarian friendly

Women who use Mooncup - a brilliant, chemical free, environmentally-friendly feminine hygiene product - are never caught without sanitary supplies, don’t worry about where to dispose of used tampons and towels (very handy when travelling or camping) and they can relax in the knowledge that they are choosing a product that does not harm the environment or animals.

Mooncup is a discreet comfortable menstrual cup made from 100% hypoallergenic soft silicone. Because silicone is a natural and chemical free material women avoid exposure to pesticides and bleaches and other chemicals found in disposable sanitary products. It has never been associated with Toxic Shock Syndrome and can be left in place for up to 8 hours to suit your individual flow, then simply remove, rinse and reinsert. Correctly inserted it is incredibly secure, leak-free and is ideal for use during physical activities such as swimming and running.

One Mooncup costs less than 6 months worth of conventional sanitary products but lasts for 10 years, and comes with a 3 month money back guarantee. What’s more, Mooncup is fully approved by The Vegetarian Society and customers who mention The Vegetarian Society when ordering a Mooncup will get £1 off the RRP of £17.99. To place your order visit www.mooncup.co.uk or phone 01273 673845

The Vegetarian Society’s ‘seedling symbol‘, established in 1969, is the most widely recognised and trusted stamp of vegetarian approval anywhere in the world. The symbol can be found on a huge range of products, including retail food and drinks, catering supplies, household goods, cosmetics and toiletries.

The strength of the symbol is based on products meeting the following criteria:

• Products must be free from all meat, poultry, fish, shellfish and crustacea.

• Products must not contain slaughter by-products such as gelatine or animal fat.

• Any eggs used in the product must be free-range.

• The Society also requires that cross contamination does not occur between vegetarian and non-vegetarian products during food production.

No other symbol gives consumers such reassurance.
