Meeting the need for meat-free:
Cauldron fills the gap with two new veggie sausages
As the meat-free market continues to boom, Cauldron has added two inspired
new products to its range of Vegetarian Society approved sausages.
The latest additions to the
seedling symbol scheme are Cauldron Spicy Moroccan Sausages, made with
juicy tomatoes, spinach and tofu flavoured
with cumin, coriander and mint, and Cauldron Cherry Tomato & Basil
Sausages, which combine tofu with sweet cherry tomatoes, basil and garlic.
Both varieties are delicious
served with a traditional plate of mash and 2 veg, but are also perfect
companions for a culinary adventure.
Try serving the Spicy Moroccan Sausages with North African style Chickpeas
and Tabouleh salad, or give Greek salad a contemporary twis tby adding
slices of the Cherry Tomato & Basil Sausages.
Like all Cauldron products these sausages use only GM-free ingredients.
Available from major supermarkets, grocers and health food stores.
RRP - £1.99 for a 250g pack.

Keynote consumer research 2003 valued the total vegetarian market at £630m
and predict that by 2007/8 the market will be worth £930m.
The Vegetarian Society’s ‘seedling symbol‘,
established in 1969, is the most widely recognised and trusted stamp
of vegetarian
approval anywhere in the world.
The strength of the symbol is based on products meeting the following
criteria:
• Products must be free from all meat, poultry, fish, shellfish and crustacea.
• Products must not contain slaughter by-products such as gelatine
or animal fat.
• Any eggs used in the product must be free-range.
• The Society also requires that cross contamination does not occur between
vegetarian and non-vegetarian products during food production.
