The Silk Road – without leaving Greater
Manchester
Altrincham’s Cordon Vert School of cookery is booking now for
places on ‘The End of The Silk Road’, 16th-18th July, an
exciting weekend workshop led by top London chef Chico Francesco.
Participants are promised the culinary equivalent of the Orient Express
crossing the Ottoman Empire. As well as teaching students how to use
vibrant spices and interesting regional ingredients to make stunning
dishes - such as Persian potato and aubergine kuku, sweet Iranian ravani,
traditional Roman lentils and delicate Italian almond soup - Chico promises
to explain the history of the famous Silk Road and how it has enriched
our lives, share the secrets of authentic regional cooking he has learnt
on his own travels.
The Cordon Vert School accepts both residential and non-residential
