All Aboard?

Vegetarian Society berates businesses who aren’t flying the flag for vegetarians and invites them to come on board at the
2005 Vegetarian Society Awards, sponsored by the Co-operative Bank

From a vegetarian vantage point some products are totally out to sea, but others are actually on the brink of being ‘suitable’. The Vegetarian Society’s Imperfect World Award throws a lifeline to the companies that make the ‘nearly’ vegetarian products that veggies want to eat! This year’s most wanted will be announced at an exclusive event aboard The Cutty Sark on Thursday, 27th October 2005.

Contenders for The Vegetarian Society Imperfect World Award 2005 are:

Bassett’s jelly babies (contains the slaughter by-product gelatine)
Guinness (fined with isinglass from the swim-bladders of fish)
Holland & Barrett flax oil capsules (capsules made from the slaughter by-product gelatine)
