Manchester micro-brewery nominated
for prestigious national award

The Marble Brewery has made the shortlist for this year’s Vegetarian Society Award for ‘Best provision for vegetarians in a pub or pub chain’.

Manchester’s very own micro-brewery has several pubs and bars around the city all of which are extremely popular with Manchester’s vegetarian population; not only because Marble beers are suitable for veggies and vegans, but also because their food menu includes an excellent selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes.

The brewery faces competition from Glasgow’s Mono Bar, The George Pub in Brighton and the nationwide chain J.D. Wetherspoon.

Vegetarian Society spokeswoman Kerry Bennett said, “I’m so pleased that my ‘local’ received enough public nominations to get through to the final of our annual awards! I really recommend a trip to The Bar in Chorlton for some hearty vegetarian pub-grub and a pint of ‘Manchester’.”

Marble’s Knott Bar in Deansgate is also up for the ‘Best Bar’ award at this year’s Manchester Food & Drink Festival.
