Cambridge café is veggie gold!

Cambridge’s popular Rainbow Café has been shortlisted for honours at the 2005 Vegetarian Society Awards. The incredible quality of the cuisine and delightful ambience has led veggies from far and wide to visit this gem of an eaterie.

Considered pure veggie gold by the many members of the public who nominated Rainbow for the award, the café faces stiff competition for the national title of ‘Best Vegetarian Café or Bistro.’ Other contenders include Plymouth Arts Centre Café, The Fieldgate Centre Café, Doncaster, Exeter’s Plant Café-Deli, The Bean Inn at Carbis Bay, Cornwall, and previous award winners, Café Maitreya in Bristol.

The winning establishment must find favour with The Vegetarian Society’s elusive, mystery diners. The result will be announced at a star-studded bash on Thursday 27th October, aboard The Cutty Sark at London’s Greenwich Dock.
