Friday 8th November Winners of the 2002 Vegetarian Society Awards Last night (Thursday 7th November), the Vegetarian Society held its second award ceremony and fundraising gala ball at Londons Waldorf Hotel. The prestigious event to promote best practice and integrity among caterers and manufacturers brought together the cream of the vegetarian business world, a host of celebrities and the friends and supporters of the Vegetarian Society. The celebration also raised funds for the important educational work of the Vegetarian Society. The Vegetarian Society is pleased to reveal the final decisions reached by Christine Tilbury of the Cordon Vert School and celebrity judges Richard Cawley, Rose Elliot MBE and Hazel O'Connor after nominations were made by members of the public. A former employee of the Vegetarian Society, Juliet went on to found the campaigning organisation Viva! All the nominees for this years awards demonstrated an exceptional level of customer care and product development.
