| Talks in schools |
|
The Vegetarian Society maintains a register of volunteer vegetarian speakers and cookery demonstrators in the UK (United Kingdom = England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales) who are willing to give talks/demos to schools. Our speaker service is free of charge for schools. However, please be advised that schools wishing to have a cookery demonstration or samples of pre-prepared vegetarian food are expected to cover the costs related to this service. Looking for a speaker? If you you are looking for a speaker for your school, please complete the form below and we will search our register to see which speakers live within reasonable travelling distance of you and either try and match you with a speaker or send you a print-out (by surface mail), which will have details of how to make contact, what topics they cover, when they are available and so on. You will need to contact the speakers yourself to make arrangements for the talk in the latter case. Please note that our list is not selective, it includes everyone we
know about who will give a talk on some aspect of vegetarianism, or give
a vegetarian cookery demonstration. Obviously, individuals will have
varying interests and skills and may concentrate on different specialist
areas. You should ascertain in advance that they can cover the topics
you are interested in before making the booking. Please allow at least 30 days notice from your event/class if
you wish us to match you with a speaker. We can only help you find a speaker in the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland) |
