Here's how your money can help
	Without doubt the greatest single cause of animal suffering in the UK is food production. A vegetarian diet makes better use of the world's resources and is a highly effective way of positively contributing to our planet's future. The Vegetarian Society is an independent voice keeping vegetarianism on the UK's agenda. We will be around for as long as the needless slaughter of animals continues and people need our support, but, we depend on the regular support of people like you to allow us to continue our efforts to build a kinder world. You can help by agreeing to donate just a small amount every month.
INFORMING	£2 a month pays for encouragement and advice for two new vegetarians. Every week we respond to hundreds of calls and send out fact-filled information packs to new vegetarians to encourage them to continue to follow this positive and compassionate diet
EDUCATING	£3 a month provides three school children with the practical knowledge and experience of vegetarian issues. Our Youth Education Officer provides information for school teachers, gives talks and cookery demonstrations, ensuring children and teachers get a taste of a healthy vegetarian diet.
GUIDING	£5 a month pays for awareness-raising literature in 12 doctor's surgeries. For every monthly donation of £5 we can raise awareness across a broad section of the general public and health professionals.
SUPPORTING	A regular donation of £10 ensures mothers weaning their infants onto a balanced diet receive the support to make sure that in the future more children than ever will be life vegetarians.
SAFEGUARDING	A gift of £20 or more helps to fund innovative projects that safeguard and improve the experience of going shopping, eating out, finding travel and residential accommodation for millions of vegetarians and their families.
