GOING VEGGIE.........

5 most popular reasons why young people are veggie

For the animals. This is a real show of honest compassion and the most common reason. It shows that people are prepared to put their wants and desires second to the needs of another animal. What’s more, an animal they have never met. More info on animals

For Health. How could anyone doubt that eating a Chopping vegbalanced vegetarian diet is good for you. Even if you are not a total veggie eating more veggies is a good step. Experts recommend that we should eat at least 5 portions of fruit and veg a day. Many people say that they feel healthier, and research has shown that vegetarians suffer less from certain diseases. More info on health.

For the environment. Intensive farming is bad for the environment and an inefficient use of land. Animal waste contributes to pollution and global warming. In addition it would be possible to produce more food for humans by growing crops to be eaten directly by humans rather than feeding the crop to the animal in order to eat the animal. More info on the environment.

For religion. Some religions such as Buddhism encourage a vegetarian lifestyle.

For Fashion. Eating habits are affected by fashions and fads. When a pop star discusses why they are veggie some people will follow what they say.

Some young people simply don’t like the taste or texture of meat. Fair enough, I don’t like tapioca pudding.
