stir-fry A stir-fry can be delicious, easy to prepare and very healthy. Follow a few basic rules and you will be impressed just how tasty it can be. Top tips Prepare all the vegetables before you start to fry. If you are going to use broccoli cut it into small florets then place them into a bowl of boiling water for 2 minutes. Use a wok. Fry with a little olive oil or sesame oil. This will give a full flavour to your food. To flavour your stir-fry use any of your favourite spices, herbs, garlic, lemon juice and soy sauce. Add the hardest vegetables first and add the bean sprouts last. Frying from start to finish should last about five-seven minutes. Ingredients for

School Dinners
are they up to scratch? School dinners do have a reputation of being well not that good. Apologies to all of those caterers under-paid, over-worked and under-valued. To be honest they do have my sympathy, budgets given to produce food are very small. But when it comes to the veggie option some schools are doing well whereas others don't seem to have a clue! If you are a veggie at school you can help improve your lunch time munchies. The Society has produced catering booklets for primary and secondary schools. If you would like one of these free booklets to go to your school please email Alex with the full address of your school and we will send them one. Please state if it is primary or secondary school. We will also send them a free healthy eating poster.
