Top
trumps
This game came about one boring lunchtime. It is a basic variation of
the top trumps card game. This game is fun and educational - just.
You will need
A selection of tins and packets of food. It is important they have nutritional
information on the side.
How to play
Each player has a different tin or packet of food. Taking it in turns
each player selects a category i.e. protein. The player with the highest
amount of protein per 100g wins. If the category selected is a food that
is not good for you, like salt or sugar, lowest amount per 100g wins.
If you have an ingredient the other players dont have which is healthy
you win that round.
Ps we played this game again in a pub and extended it to where it was
made (furthest wins), guess the unusual ingredients, best before date.
With a little imagination the list goes on.
Famous
Veggies
Did you know that as a veggie you are rubbing shoulders with the stars,
people like
Chumbawamba, Whitney Houston, Michael Stipe and Moby
or Richard Gere, Paul Newman, Daryl Hannah, and Jerome Flynn, or Pamela
Armstrong, Sean Huges and Ricki Lake.
If you could jump into a time machine you could have a chat with Shelley,
Wordsworth, Leonardo da Vinci, Pythagarus or Ghandi, all of whom were
vegetarian.
