We
are the oldest vegetarian organisation in the world and have become the
leading authority on vegetarianism. We are an educational charity and
much of our work involves giving free information and advice to those
considering vegetarianism, as well as vegetarians and families who need
additional support - at whatever stage of life. We work closely with schools
and colleges; health professionals; local authorities and community groups
and we also work with caterers, food manufacturers, retailers, cafes and
restaurants to improve and extend choice for millions of vegetarians and

We've
done a lot to help improve life for vegetarians but we want to do more.
We want to help establish a legal definition of the word 'vegetarian'
and we want to continue working towards a world where vegetarianism is
acknowledged as the norm.
We don't receive any government funding, so we need support from individuals
like you if we are to continue and extend our work.
