Working for the Vegetarian Society

The Vegetarian Society is a national charity based in Altrincham, Greater Manchester. Members of our small professional staff team report to the charity’s Council of Trustees. To find out more about the Vegetarian Society and its mission, values, activities and strategic aims, please refer to the Extracts from the Business Plan 2014 document and our Five-Year Strategy.

We enjoy a friendly working environment, flexible hours and great job satisfaction; supporting and representing vegetarians across the UK as well as promoting educational messages about vegetarian issues.

Permanent Full-Time Contract, equivalent to 35 hours per week

Salary: SCP range 22 to 28, which is a salary range of £20,661 to £24,964.

Based in Altrincham, Cheshire.

This post is open to job share.

This is a key role working across the whole organization and is ideal for a motivated and enthusiastic self-starter with a keen eye for detail who enjoys problem-solving. You will need previous experience of using a customer relationship database, and good understanding of evaluation tools.

Your role will influence, inspire and support people to embrace and maintain a vegetarian lifestyle by supporting colleagues in demonstrating the impact of Vegetarian Society work and to support relationship development to increase fundraising income.
