The Vegetarian Society is a national charity based in Altrincham, Greater Manchester.
Working for the Vegetarian Society
Members of our small professional staff team report to the charity’s Council of Trustees. To find out more about the Vegetarian Society and its mission, values, activities and strategic aims, please refer to the Extracts from the Business Plan 2014 document and our Five-Year Strategy.
We enjoy a friendly working environment, flexible hours and great job satisfaction; supporting and representing vegetarians across the UK as well as promoting educational messages about vegetarian issues.
The Vegetarian Society values diversity and welcomes applications from all sections of the community. We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation. Applications can be made by post or email. Please contact us if you require a different format. We will not accept applications from agencies.
Vacancies are advertised here so if you would like to work with us, please check the site regularly.
We are also always keen to hear from potential volunteers. Volunteering with us can be very rewarding and can help you to gain skills and experience.
Do you want to inspire, educate and enable people to be vegetarian? We are looking for enthusiastic trustees to help us make a difference by delivering our five year strategy.
As a trustee you will work in a voluntary capacity and focus on the strategic direction of the charity, rather than operational details. Trustees work as a team to offer skills and leadership based on their own life and work experience.
