Lynne Elliot, Chief Executive of the Vegetarian Society, said: “National Vegetarian Week 2016 saw events happening across the country. Seventy-seven grants were awarded to groups and individuals organising events for National Vegetarian Week – this year we really want to build on this and make it even easier for community groups to get stuck in so if you have an idea for a great veggie event for 2017 do visit the website and apply for a grant!”
The Vegetarian Society is a national charity that influences, inspires and supports people to embrace and maintain a vegetarian lifestyle. Being a vegetarian is a choice that is kinder to animals, to people and to our planet. Visit www.vegsoc.org for more information.
